REVIEW: Hood, Streatham Hill

A rare Saturday night out with the other half and we decided to try Streatham’s very latest eaterie, Hood. Following a soft launch and the opening party the previous night, we were among the first eager diners to try it out. Skipping up the road towards, we hoped, good food and booze, we arrived hungry and excited to support a new neighbourhood place which has been part-financed by the community in a crowd-funding initiative. After a warm welcome we settled at our table and ordered a snack of hummus with bread and vegetables to keep us going while we perused the small but lovely menu. Food chosen we devoured the dips (who knew radishes could be so good?) and got stuck into the drinks list, full of craft beers and reasonably priced wines.
